PBS tonight, tho biased a little in the q&a as per usual, had a show on previous elections, tho mainly on the 2020 election and state changes for our upcoming election.
It talked about which states allowed pre or early voting, pre counting . Automatically mailed out ballots versus having to request them. Drop boxes were mentioned because most are not monitored...... Would a ballot harvester drop off 50 ballots, then return later with 30 more if they had to drop off the ballots to an actual person monitoring the ballots..... Nobody could stop or question this practice if the ballot box is "unpersoned" and just bolted to a sidewalk at the library.
I'm close to a question.
Elections used to be completed that night or by the following day.. Voting was in person and with ID.
Why is that impossible today?
My suggestion. Stop making voting so damn easy. You don't get to vote if you make no effort..... If you make an effort, you're serious and informed and allowed to vote.
How do we decide this?
It's called voting in person.

Vote by mail? Sure, but you have to request a ballot.... Each election period.

Late voting by mail? If your ballot arrives 4 days after the election..... You're lazy and it gets incinerated. Be on time.

Gotta have some form of ID. No exceptions.

Here's the big one for those that make up excuses or play the race card.
A NATIONAL VOTING HOLIDAY. YOU HAVE THE ENTIRE DAY. GITTER DONE, NO WHINING ALLOWED.

Whatcha think? We don't need elections decided a month afterwards because of computer issues or non issues. Let's go back in time.

I can't stand in line for an hour, so I vote by mail.

Oregon does that and I haven't seen any issues because it. To eliminate the worry about dead people voting, every 4 years, you need to request a ballot. Not to many dead people would take the time to request a ballot.
Currently, I and everyone else in the state gets mad a ballot every election without asking for one.
I think that you should be required to take the tiny bit of effort and request a mail in ballot. That would stop any controversy of dead people voting.
We need to eliminate things that create controversy and drama so people have less to be concerned about.
What I'm suggesting is simpler voting method with tight rules so there isn't so much to object about.
At the airport, of you arrive 20 minutes late, you missed your flight? Will you be late next time too, or did you learn that rules are rules.
I want voting to have rules. If polls close at 8:00, and you pound on the door at 8:05, my rules say your vote doesn't get counted..... I don't care if traffic was heavy or you hit 9 red lights in a row.
We got RULES. Be here earlier next time.

If rules get changed, they need to be completed a month before the election and MUST be done via the state legislature...... Not be a state, county, or city election supervisor or official on or near election night because the line was long.
Be there earlier next election.
IE: RULES
If you're late, your vote gets napalmed.

Federal spending from 2022 through 2024 has averaged 24.0% of GDP while deficits during the same period averaged 6.1% of GDP.

That's a 17% increase in post-pandemic spending over pre-pandemic spending and an average annual deficit increase of 56%.

What we (I mean sheep) do is assume the government is always correct.
Reality is that their agenda is rule of the land even if it's made up crap. They do so to force electric cars on us.
You must have read the letter that Mark Zuckerberg ......OF ALL PEOPLE....... recently sent to Jim Jordan, describing how the Biden administration, INCLUDING THE FBI, duped him into thinking it was his civic duty to delete "non conforming" comments about COVID.

Upon being told what to "allow" to be said about COVID, Facebook deleted comments that didn't flow with the government montra.
It now became "disinformation"

Hunters laptop and it's contents were obviously well known to the FBI after the shop owner gave that to them.
The Biden administration wrote a letter and sent it out to 60 or so "high ranking" security heads and 51 of them agreed to sign the laptop information off as "Russian disinformation"
Once again,they warned Zuckerberg of this laptop "disinformation", so once again, anyone commenting on the laptop was at risk of having their comment deleted or being labeled as "disinformation"
People were banned from Facebook so they could not comment!
Trump was Banned on EVERY SINGLE SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM.
You worry about the heartland institute?
Listen to them. Not one episode. They have many groups....meteorologists and scientists .
They are extremely level headed and have absolutely no agenda but opening people's eyes.
They, unlike most, use actual data..... available to everyone.... To form an opinion.

Elon didn't vote Trump.
Zuckerberg spent over $300 million of his own money on the 2020 election. Most all of that was Democrat influence and installing voting drop off areas populated by Democrat voters...... To make it easier for them to vote.
...he didn't care if it was easier for Republicans to vote.

Zuckerberg immediately displayed his admiration for Trump after Trump's near assassination. He was quite impressed by Trump's reaction as he was helped off of the platform shaking his fist.
Mark finally had a realistic vision of who Trump is.
Marks said that he will not make ANY donations this election year.
.........he realized at some recent point, his power to influence an election.
He admitted, without saying so, that he helped Joe win, sucked up and cooperated to ban free speech about COVID and hunters laptop.
The government was "disinformation" and it was Intentional and political.
Never Trumpers have drunk the Jim Jones Cool aid and there is no recovery.
We have two choices.

NASA provides a lot of information used by the Heartland institute. They use actual data to prove trends. They are fact based, not agenda based.
People today have lost the ability to think.. ....if they hear it somewhere, it's obviously true
