Hello everyone!

I’m excited to be part of this community. I represent Floor Warehouse, based in the UK. We’ve been in business since 2020, specializing in Engineered & Solid Wood, LVT, SPC & Laminate floors. I’ve been in the flooring industry since 2012 and, after years of working for industry giants, I decided to start my own business, knowing where improvements could be made.

While we focus on the UK market, I'm keen to learn how things are done in the US and exchange knowledge with you all.

Looking forward to connecting!

Just one question. Do they still put flat metal in all doorways in the UK? Oh and a bolster here, is called a stair tool.
I must have missed this but yes it's used as a transition strip for products like lino and carpet. We deal with wood floor products so the majority of the transition strips we use, if any, are real wood to match. Come to think of it what type of transitions do you use for carpets in the US then if not the metal strips?

We seam them together. People here don't like metal where carpet meets.

Rusty is referring to carpet to carpet transitions, like when carpeting is continuous from a hallway onto the bedrooms. Are they seamed together or is a metal transition used?
