This Red-headed woodpecker lives in this particular tree. He always makes it a point to come out and give me the once-over whenever I'm walking my trail.

He’s the real Steward of the Marsh 😉
And I love walking trails lined with tall grass. Thanks for sharing, I’ll try to walk one today. 😎

At $370, I can't afford the local courses.
...then add in $100 for the caddie plus gratuities. Naw, $600 per round is outta my league.
Oh wait! I just won the Powerball tomorrow night.
.....I'll just take that old beater, my Gulfstream 550, 23 miles south to Bandon Dunes. I totally forgot that I can afford stuff like this now.
When do they announce my Powerball win tomorrow?
🤣
....I was wrong. I meant next Saturday. 🫣😁

I spent a month and a half working for a fellow that's sold birds for probably 65 years and he was explaining how smart they are, especially their memories. That fella knows you pretty well.

Been raining for 3 straight days and boy did we need it bad. We’ve been in a drought all summer. Several of the marsh lagoons were completely dry since late August. Hopefully this puts some water back in them. Supposed to be nice tomorrow and I’m going on a photo tour at a local wildlife sanctuary with my wife. Another photographer friend is leading it. Should get some good pictures to share. They have several Tigers, bears, birds of prey and other retired or rescued animals.

Oh deer, 😱
It was about dark as I was packing up tools yesterday. I'd dropped a little length of wire off the porch railing earlier.
I walked to the driveway to get below the porch railing, then noticed a deer 15 feet to my left watching me as I fumbled around looking for the wire.
He had no concerns with me in the yard. The huge turkey a few hours earlier was cool too.
This was in a neighborhood, not off in the boonies.

When walking in the marsh on a photography hike and you come across this what else ya going to do but take a picture!
(Just teasin'! I was fortunate to get to go on a behind-the-scenes tour of a local animal rescue sanctuary with a photography workshop I attended)
Meet Patronus the Tiger! He was one of the rescues from that Tiger King fiasco. He's now living out his days in peace and comfort here in Indiana.
