    Toast of the day

Hell, I think there was a period of about 10 years I was going through what seemed like 36 old Milwaukee a night :P I wasn't so much an alcoholic as a kid who liked to party. This old man probably hasn't drank 36 beer in the last 5 years lol

    Polyurethane drying time between coats?

There is the crux with asking the question. There is no time allotment for when is the right time. It is all based on humidity, temperature and airflow. Then there comes the how thick it was applied, how porous the material accepting it is, well you get the idea by now.

    What did you do today?

it really really is. If I hear one more idiot tell me "bit I'm sweating" I'm gonna lose my ****. My vinyl does not care that you are an put of shape pre-diabetic and sweat sitting down. If I say it's cold.... its cold.

They claim to have run out of propane. I claim they are either cheap or incompetent and either of those is not acceptable. Oh well, goodbye warranty and hello happy me.

    Flooring supplies

I hate to break it to you, the IVC's last a lot better than many a mineral back I have ever worked with. My mudroom is a shining example of the pounding they can take.

When you try your best to tell people that temporary heat doesn't mean impermanent heat and they don't listen.... The in-service temperature minimum for that floor is 13 C

Paint sprayer for base and shoe

Sometimes folks miss the forest for the trees my man. There is a cash cow out there grazing, no need to stick it with the bulls horns over a few silly things. I'll pull your damn toilet for free if you are going to pay my a thousand dollars a day to put stupid plastic rectangles everywhere :)

    What did you do today?

That is definitely not the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Mostly my wife loads it and the coach gives me a good vantage point to stare at her ass in the process. When that is no longer appealing, I will probably have to raise it up :)

Paint sprayer for base and shoe

    Porcelain tile substrate

See, that is the key. I haven't pulled out the TCNA guidelines in a while, but I think for 16 o.c. joists the min is 1.25" of ply... maybe 1.5? We install tile all the time on plywood, I have made it my personal crusade to eliminate underlayment products everywhere I can as I see them as...

    What did you do today?

Well.. seeing as you are telling stories, let me fill you in. I'll set the stage. Its New Years day... for those of you unfamiliar, that is January 1st. This would have been 5 or 6 years ago now but like a good little soldier, I was at work. There was a lady who had been in a battle with her...

    What did you do today?

288 is a good bill for that. The last one I did cost the whole basement floor and the sprinklers had to be replumbed. Thankfully I just took the baseboard off... but man I could tell you a story!

    Porcelain tile substrate

Isn't that the truth. While I will not discount the use of all the fancy nonsense on the market right now, there isn't as much a need for it as the marketing would leave you to believe.

    Porcelain tile substrate

You 200% can install on plywood. The reason you are getting so much conflict is from marketing.... but not from where you think. people waste millions of dollars every year installing unneeded products on plywood to install tile.

    What did you do today?

I like it. I don't ever manage to put the amount of effort into this **** hole to make it "amazing" because as you said, I would have to take it down to the studs and in honesty working a full time gig with a wife, two school age kids and an infant... that just isnt going to happen when we are...

    What did you do today?

I like doing it at home. I can take my time, I get away with the things I know don't matter that silly people complain about... like popping a 18g bradnail into things every once in a while and for once, I get my house to look nice. I have made a lot of other people's houses look nice, I was...
