Thermo sealing does help in preventing seam peaking. If it can't hinge it can't peak but it won't help in seam profiling-the tape showing.. Seam peaking will ony peak the thickness of the backing.

I think I'd use latex. The backing and the face aree both natural fibers and you want to fill in the gaps to enscapulate the base of the yarns. But both would probably work. Make sure to use the koolglide sticks if you do the thermo.

I'd go with the duct tape but you are pounding holes in it with the tackless and a staple only makes a pin hole. Obvisily they don't care about the wood if they are covering it. You don't have to staple the hell out of it just some well placed ataples to hold it in place and tape the nose.

I wear trifoals and the middle lens is for approximately 2-3 ft away that is my computer lens. In fact I was going to have a pair of glasses made up just for the computer and that is when they told me I had lens for that already.
