I have come to dispise the 1st generation click laminate even thought the 7.5/8 inch stuff you can really haul azz on. The problem is as I see it is the cheaper locking mechanisms, aka Pergo Presto and such. If you tap it just a tensie weensy bit to hard the and joints peak. The square edge is notorious for ledging because , well, milling is never perfect which it should be. The only one that is best in class is any with a UNICLIC locking mechanism.
Kudos though to the Costco's and Sam's Club for selling only US made. But Sams is a Presto version and Costco's is made by Mohawk/Quickstep with the UNICLIC.
