Hello. I live in Naples FL, and have a 2 story home. I have 3/8" x 5" plank Shaw Engineered HW downstairs and carpet on the stairs and the 2nd floor. I'm going to buy matching hardwood for the stairs and 2nd floor. Upstairs the subfloor is OSB, the house is only 5 years old and well built. I can't decided whether to nail the floor down or glue it. We keep the house at 72 degrees so humidity will not be an issue. I wanted to use some underlayment to cut down on noise. Any suggestions on why nailing would be better than glue, or vice versa.
Thanks in advance for the info.
