If I were to buy some 9mm ammo for CCW, what brand, grain and type would be best?

What about 380?

I use Hornady Critical Defense ammo for all my CCW weapons. It is pretty expensive but well worth it IMHO. \\

A little hint, by one box for the range to make sure your ramps can feed this ammo. I had a Glock that would not eat the stuff until I did a bit of polishing on the ramp.

I use the same. The LCP and SR9c also loves anything you feed them. I use some Winchester FMJ also.

FMJ are good for plinking but should not be used for protection.
