Sister taut me a trick yesterday on how to cook Bacon.

Put two layers of paper towels on a plate, lay the strips of bacon on them, cover with two layers of paper towels on top.

Mike it one minute for each slice of bacon. 4 slices ,set it for 4 minutes . Came out perfect .

Yeah but is the bacon that crinkly old dried out bacon you find everywhere in America or the real bacon which is more like thick slices of ham?
The real way to have bacon cooked :D

Two old farts bragging about the size of their meat.............. :D
If it's thick, it's ham.
If it's thin it's bacon.
If you can read news print through it .........it's McDonalds.

I thought about this a few days ago. I was in San Francisco and my son insisited I try out this restaurant for brunch. Millionaire's Bacon was the best part. I had it with a deep fried french toast and eggs. I'm goiwng to try this recipe at home. If you buy prepackaged bacon it's always thin sliced. The butcher has thick sliced at the market I go to so I'm going to grab a few pounds this week.

I like the thick applewood bacon. The microwave does a good job but really steams it up and not quite as crispy as pan fried.
But we usually do it in the oven on a cookie sheet with parchment paper, 425 degrees for around twenty minutes. This way I can concentrate on my eggs and stuff.

Especially if you throw that paper plate on the barbie. :D You didn't say which cooking method.

Here is the bacon I like. It is not crispy. 7 slices to a lb. About 1/4" thick. I go to Minnesota to get it, 40 lbs. at a time. Mouth is watering just typing this.
