I believe it. This town I live in, is not far from being that bad. They have a person here who drives around all summer and measures grass in the yards. If it is over 7" tall, they write a ticket.

It was an article about a 4 year old that drew a picture of their father with a gun. The teacher turned it over to police, the police searched the entire home, strip searched the father, only to find out it was a plastic gun!
