Black Mastic On concrete floor

I had some black mastic on my concrete from some old floor tiles. I started removing it using that Beanie do remover but it is messy and terrible. I've already used it twice, but there is still residue.

All I want to do is re paint the floor and this is a nightmare. Please help. Does anyone have a good suggestion for me?
