Nick, I've used CCleaner for years. Once the company caught wind of the hack, they sent out an immediate update as a counter measure. Basically, old news?

this is not old news Hav .. You should use Revo uninstaller to delete it so it removes all the orphan files add & remove leave . Use TFC instead .

Besides CC Cleaner has a history of deleting files it shouldn't ..

NO, But you should always have a hard copy somewhere in case of a hard drive failure .[ETC].

By the way CC Cleaner was recently bought by Avast . Hopefully they will improve it ..

When i used it , I used CC lite . Didn't do any damage to necessary files ..

Sorry , Thought i did ..

Find the software you want to delete in Revo. Right check and delete .

Let it do it's thing. Then a page will come up with a bunch of extra files it found . Check select all , Delete . It may do it a second time as it searches a different section on your confuser . do the same thing .

Last question, since I use to use CCleaner every few days to clean up the crap I get from perusing the forums. I have now deleted the cleaner but is there a way to save the new cleaner to my desktop, and would you recommend doing this with the same frequency as CCleaner?

Right check on where you downloaded it to - check send to desktop..

You can use it every few days .. I use ATF Cleaner every time i get off the net . takes a few seconds .. Check select all..
