Thanks all!! Hip replacement surgery went well but fighting a low blood pressure. When I left the hospital it was 82/52. They want it at least 100/?. So until she get there she won't be transferred to the Orthopedic floor. Once there it is 2 times to rehab and home. She actually was supposed to be released today. It is a one day stay thing now unless problems. Maybe tomorrow.

A good friend of mine had hip replacement surgery a month ago. The "One" day stay was two days, and day one was the morning after surgery. She was pretty doped up and is seemed obvious she needed another full day. I arrived just as they were taking her for her second short walk. I'm amazed how quickly people recover from surgery like this sort of 'routine' operation.
My friend is doing great and loves the hip pain being gone after many many years of having it. Give Karen a hug and best wishes from the guy that works for food.

She got out of the hospital this morning. Now my work begins. I'm already the "Water Boy" and doing laundry. Been home just over an hour. I'm tired already. Poor me!! I know you find sympathy between **** and syphilis in the dictionary.

You don't stay long in the Hospital anymore Hi. They do a drive by on you .

That is about the truth. From the time they took her up to surgery and the time I talked to the surgeon after he was done was 1 hour and 15 minutes. She was still awake when she left and they had to put a tube down her throat and put her out. If it wasn't for the BP issue she would have had to get off the gurney at her room and walk to a chair. Then it would have been to therapy[walking to] twice and once the next morning and home. A 1 day stay. The BP screwed it all up and she stayed 5 days.

You can now refer to her as the bionic woman. That's what I call my friend now. My brother called her gimpy because she was on crutches immediately afterwards. She emailed me last night and invited us over for dinner anytime this week. She said she's not gimpy anymore.......... it's been over a month I think.
I'm already the "Water Boy"
Wow, whoever thought the Bionic Woman would marry the water boy.
