Installing a laminate flooring, DIY. Everything is going smooth but tonight I'm going to tackle two doorways. One goes into the garage, the other into a sun porch. In both cases the old linoleum ran under the doorway, exposed to the garage/sun porch. I'm concerned that if I run the laminate to what is essentially outside it will be destroyed by humidity/water. What's the correct way to approach this? The screen porch has concrete stairnose so I can simply terminate at the threshold. The garage had plywood stair nose so I would have to leave the old laminate.
Also, can you use the laminate thresholds for exterior door thresholds or should I use real wood?
