Hello. Seeking opinions. My situation:
- 550 sq. ft. of 3/4 prefinished t&g already acclimated
- 5/8 ply subfloor circa 1974 in decent shape on second floor above sleeping area below
- adjoining kitchen floor rises 1 1/2'' above subfloor
- some measure of footfall reduction is desired
I'm hoping for some guidance as to the build up. The easiest would be 3/4 ply over green glue but that only will go so far for footfall. What about 5/8 ply over green glue then quiet walk? Any other ideas?
Thanks!
