I am doing a job that calls for sheet vinyl in an area where there will be three floor drains. There will be no slope, completely level floor. The subfloor is 3/4" OSB with a 1/4" underlayment to apply the sheet onto. The floor drains that the plumber would typically use (see spec sheet in attachment) is adjustable, but has a 1/4" thick flange that would typically sit on top of the subfloor and in this case would end flush to the underlayment.
This would mean that my sheet would sit directly on top of this metal flange, and that even with the drain adjusted at its lowest point, it would sit proud of the finished floor. I am wondering if there is a drain that is more appropriate for this application or an alternative way to install the drain that was planned for. Any help is appreciated. Thanks so much.
