WE don't and haven't passed out candy now for about 8 years. Got to many repeat customers and they would be nasty when you caught them. Used to be about 350 kids and a lot of them were shipped in from other areas that had their night different from ours.
Take all the kids to the school gym and give them a bag of candy and that is that.
I remember as a kid I used to fill 2-3 pillow cases up and never went back to the same place twice.

Here the kids go to the stores on the town square and load up. And several of the churches give out handfuls of candy.

I've lived here about 20 years and one year had 2 together, and 1 one other year. I don't worry about it. But going to Publix tonight it was full of children in costumes going around the store doing fun activities. Schools and churches were busy tonight, too.

Our downtown this afternoon was deep in goblins, superheros, policeman firefighters, ninjas, lizards and ferries with parents in tow. Weather for them was great. Some pretty neat outfits. They were doing the store thing. I think door to door is about gone.
