Planning to install a laminate floating plank floor in my family room. The fireplace hearth stone is at floor level and has curved corners. How do I trim out the flooring so it can expand properly?

Would assume I install the planks to the gap the flooring manufacturer recommends (from the hearth stone ) and then install a floating T-molding type trim piece on top?

Just not sure how to handle the curved corners of the hearth? T-molding is pretty rigid, just 1 long length of material.

Ideas?

Not sure if you mean height wise or like a raised hearth like these? http://www.flickr.com/photos/13772863@N08/sets/72157627231981053/

You can cut some 45 degree angles on it if the height is not enough to undercut.

If the hearth is raised then do like Ernie suggests and under cut it.

If it is level with the subfloor then ignore the curves and do 22.5° miters.
