Last week wife along with some of her horsey friends updated Java and had all sorts of trouble with a lot of pop ups being installed. She fixed it by doing a restore
I got a Java 7 update today and don't want the same hassle.
What have you heard Nick?

It's out of date Jon. That is how you get infected from outdated software . Just follow the above instructions .

Let me know if you still get pop ups . Hackers are installing this crap in the downloads without the permission of the software co. some times they inject a virus in there . They did it to Incredimail, That is why i can't download it anymore .

PS: Update from the link i posted .

I haven't had trouble but I thought I would check with the expert before I downloaded the update notice I got
Will do as you say and go through your link instead of the one I got
Thanks Nick

Just went through the motions and it wanted me to agree with Search apps being installed

I unchecked the 2 boxes but it still said its part of downloading Java I didn't do anything and left Javas site Later puter said Java was now loaded and everything seems fine but this is on Windows 8.1 lappy not Windows 7 puter so therefore Shirley and her friends must have received a strange download for them to get trouble

That's ok. Just let me know if the pop ups come back .

Going to post a free software program to let you know what software is out of date, and the link to update them .
