LVP Stair Vertical Tread joints or not?

I have finally cut all my stair treads and stair nose moldings and placed ready for glue. Because the stairnose leaves a horizontal joint where it meets the tread I opted to just go with one piece treads. I am wondering if I should still have maintained the vertical joint pattern on the stair treads by joining treads where appropriate? I am not sure if this would have looked better given the horizontal stair nose joint. Have a look at pics and let me know thoughts whether this is fine or would have been better with some vertical tread joints as well flowing up from landings. This approach would waste more LVP but I have extra. Just not sure if necessary or would look any better than what I have. Thanks.

I am not entirely sure that I understand exactly what you mean, but I think I do and if it makes you feel any better, that is exactly what I would have done. :)

It looks fine to me but part of me always wants to make sure it's done the correct way so I seek pro advice. I'm not sure if it would look better with some vertical seams added. I would have to redo some to know for sure I guess...

Mark I'm not sure if you are saying you would have done it exactly how I did it or you would have joined tread pieces together to add in the occasional vertical seam for a better look?

Thanks

Now I know what you mean!

100% of the time when ever possible I go single board treads, I hate seams on stairs. It come from being a hardwood installer and the biblical fanaticism of hating strip wood on stairs.

....so to sum it up, I would still have done it that way :)

Again, it’s what you want to look at. If I was just doing a straight up n down flight of stairs I would do whole planks like you’ve done. But since there is a landing that gives you the option of breaking up the stairs for consistency. I’ve broken up the stairs before but there has to be a good reason. Smaller planks on larger stairs is one reason. Being extremely tight on material is another.

Thanks guys. There doesn't seem to be a reason to add seams so going to go with the way I already went.... Thanks.
