So all the sudden oil is going down, just in time for an election. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-04-10/oil-futures-decline-amid-projected-u-s-supply-increase.html

Probably not to the pleasure of one of Romneys main donators tax dodger and CEO of Tiger Management; Julian Roberts; hedge fund billionaire.

http://dowfutures.org/2012/04/06/tiger-management-ceo-julian-robertson-explains-why-he-donated-1/

Who the SEC is taking a closer look at and if you ever wonder why oil prices and other commodities are so high. It is people like him. http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2012/03/19/120319fa_fact_stewart

Well it's dropped a few cents here. I may be wrong but I believe there is a delay of a few weeks or more because people who bought a month ago in futures trading are still using the oil they pay'dthe high price for. Heck for all I know it could take months to drop as low as the oil.
I do know for a fact it is the futures traders costing us money and the price sure goes up faster than it goes down so prople who are losing money on it can recoup.

After GW ran for Pres and said he would use his "oil contacts" to help reduce the high cost of oil and gas, I figured out that Presidents can't do jack shit to oil companies and commodity traders.

Gas prices have dropped 13 cents here over the last 2 weeks. $3.52 now.

And there goes another talking point for the republi-cants. The high cost of gas. Certainly one would think since they were using that in their campaigns they would want the price to stay high. That and the high cost of gas slows the economy.
So the economy slips a tad last week or month after several months. The jobs are getting better but not fast enough. Well just imagine if they didn't shoot down every idea Obama proposed how better it would be now. I don't think they have a leg to stand on if things keep getting better. And do you think they really want things to get better? Don't seem like it to me.

Fuel prices here went up to $4.35 for u/l and $4.49 for diesel 6-7 weeks ago and hasn't moved since. They don't do the gradual increases. They just go for the gusto all at once and hold it there till it finally goes above that. Makes them some nice money in the mean time.

Sure hope it goes down by late spring so I can go boating without going broke. They want close to $6 a gallon on the water around here. If you're planning on more than a couple days, you're kind of at their mercy.

I just put 3/4 of a tank of gas into my boat the other day. It cost me about $200. I took it out for 3 hours yesterday, and I'm back to 1/4 tank. It was beautiful but that water was awfully cold!

You of course realize that he has raised the amount of spending to historical highs in comparison to the GDP

You of course realize that for the first two years of his presidency the republicans could not vote down any bill the dems wanted.

You of course realize we have not had a budget for over 3 years, right?

You of course realize that he has presided over the largest increase in deficit spending the world has ever seen, right? 5 trillion so far.

He talks of transparency but then hides his background like no other president ever.

His Attorney general has stopped prosecuting any civil rights cases, unless you are black, so much for equal justice.

I could go on but you won't like it.....

Your lucky it's not a turbo-diesel. ha ha

@ Framer, yes, please go on and post any real data to confirm your rhetoric. First though you might want to go and take a close look at those links I proivided. And read this: http://www.ourfuture.org/blog-entry...et-deficit-just-one-more-conservative-failure

So please go onward but provide anything in the manner for facts.

I read your links even though I detest reading blogs from liberals as their distortion of facts is notorious,

Remember this, figures lie and liars figure. an old saying that needs to be remembered.

Start at heritage.org a think tank that has conservative roots and when you are done I will direct you to more sites that will put into perspective your dream president.

Following GOP strategy, Fox News is again blaming the Obama administration for rising gasoline prices -- a claim that has been repeatedly debunked by energy analysts. But back in the summer of 2008, when the average U.S. gasoline price hit a record high of $4.11, Fox said that "no President has the power to increase or to lower gas prices."

In 2008, Fox's coverage occasionally even mirrored the facts: expanding domestic oil drilling will not significantly lower prices, and the only way to reduce our vulnerability to gas price spikes is to use less oil. Perhaps there was more room for reality-based coverage at Fox when there wasn't an incumbent president to defeat?

Those who can move the price of a barrel of oil on global markets couldn't possibly care less whether a Democrat or Republican sits in the White House. They own both political parties from top to bottom.
