Pile carpets cleaning?

Hi ladies, have you any ideas about the most efficient vacuum for pile carpet? Have any other cheap way clean? I'm mainly looking for regular cleaning but spills and what not are also problematic.

Most spills can be blotted with club soda with a clean white rag , and then blotted with a damp clean white rag to take up the soda ..
I have a Windser 15 " commercial Vacuum , it has a extra long cord , and the suction to pick up any dirt .. Also it don't have any beater bars which you don't want .. PS: I'm no Lady ..

Finally i bought a Dyson Cyclone V10 vacuum for my home. It's really very handy working great.

I know it is a pain , but you should at least vacuum the traffic areas every day to help keep the pile up, and keep it from matting ..
