I just took out all the pop ups from my brothers 8.1

He start getting them after he bought a new truck .

I was talking to the big wig IT guys from the Red Cross. All their machines are Win 7, and refuse to consider Win 10 because they said they have just way too many "openings" which lead to corruption. That sells it for me.

This is the list of updates for Win 7 and 8 that I have that are related to the upgrade and the telemetry data that MS wants to collect.

kb:3068708
kb:3044374
kb:3035583
kb:3022345
kb:3021917
kb:2990214
kb:2952664
kb:3080149
kb:3075249

If anyone wants to uninstall all of these then the command prompt to do so is..

wusa /uninstall /kb:3068708 /norestart
wusa /uninstall /kb:3044374 /norestart
wusa /uninstall /kb:3035583 /norestart
wusa /uninstall /kb:3022345 /norestart
wusa /uninstall /kb:3021917 /norestart
wusa /uninstall /kb:2990214 /norestart
wusa /uninstall /kb:2952664 /norestart
wusa /uninstall /kb:3080149 /norestart
wusa /uninstall /kb:3075249 /norestart

Or you can do it manually in Windows updates.

kb:3035583 is the specific update that puts the Windows 10 nagware icon in your systray.

Be sure to switch from Auto update so you can hide them when the try to reinstall.
