Tho phones have decent cameras..... They are phones.
With a camera, I would have had 30 or 45 seconds more time to compose and take this photo, starting with centering the fishing boat under the rainbow.
Trying to back out to a wide angle after scurrying across the street and railroad tracks, I unknowingly bumped portrait mode.....
I didn't realize why the zoom feature wasn't working.....
It was on portrait mode!!!!
It's on portrait mode! Not remotely clear or sharp. Not that it would have been great, but could have been much. Better. I don't even know which lens or sensor took the image. . .. where is the pulling my hair out emoji?
I never had that issue with Kodachrome....... Shutter speed, aperture, focus and get the shot.
Besides that, and probably not worth mentioning I suppose, is Why the freekin shutter button is on the screen, not the top of the "camera" where it feels good.

Sorry, I haven't been posting the last couple of days... I had a new friend show up at my house on Tuesday. Been busy read,,er uh, catching up!!! Anybody sees my wife - mum's the word!

Here's a picture of the first one's parent. Saved some room in the shot. I'm going to get an image of a flag furling in the breeze and do a double exposure with this one.
Found some giant, fallen leaves on walk yesterday and they were beautiful. After doing this image I thought, "Do I see a tree or a leaf?" Art is supposed to make you think, so this one must be art...
A lot of people think of goldenrod as a weed due to it being highly competitive, but it's actually an important native plant. It's a resource for many pollinators who rely on its nectar. It also one of the few plants that remain with flowers into early winter providing a food source for insects and other creatures that are late to disappear. Here it is in monochrome...

My pixel 8 phone has a couple of fun features. The top photo is the original. You can circle an area and it can modify it.
I think I used Magic Eraser on this one. It got rid of most of the gravel road and gravel pipe to the right. In one sweep, it did that and modified the tree line above to reduce the amount of sky. I selected the entire sky, but the program only got rid of a potion of the sky by adding more trees to right side.
The end result moved the house one mile into the back woods even tho I was 10 feet away from a paved road.

Here's a reality shot. You can see one of their gravel piles in the background. It's location is property belonging to a rock and gravel company. There's a two lane road behind me. I don't recall if the road dead ends. Most likely it continues onto logging territory. Sometimes it's BLM land. Occasionally some of these roads become gated or become private property.
