I won't say anything bad about Jim, but when he found out about this site, he banned me from TFP. I never went over there and asked anyone to join this site or even mentioned that this one existed.
That’s ok Rusty, he can take it

….
Well ! If we slip into Jimbo’s shoes we can probably surmise a couple of reasons for the banning. However let’s dive into Jim first.

….He was quite rational, cool calm and analytically collected. Smart, funny, wise like a big brother and Devoted to the craft. ( add more if you want)
He wanting to do it better than the average guy, and liked the competition to prove it. ( Yes ! a strong ego

) AND ! he definitely brought that competition, plus dedication to the floor covering forum space. He was very proud to accomplish The Floor Pro forum and carried himself with what I’ll call “ I’m the Owner “ confidence. Maybe slightly to a fault, but can you blame him.
He put a lot of blood sweat and tears into his baby…..He also, probably expected to be treated in a way that was similar to the way he felt he treated other, more so for those in his inner forum Circle. And that’s where you come in Rusty, a devoted and trusted deputy. He probably placed an emotional expectation on you, that you may not have known about,

…. And that expectation is on him not you.
In conclusion: I believe his feelings were hurt by what he labeled as a disloyal deputy, rather than a fledgling pupil, wanting to spread his own less restrictive wings

taking the knowledge from a deep down

awesome teacher…..
I bet if he was around, maybe I could have persuaded him ( fat chance

) to see it that way…….. AND I THANK YOU RUSTY for giving Jim your understanding, by saying “ I can’t say anything bad about Jim”

…… As for the but, and banning sadness and disappointment you felt or perhaps feel ….….now is the time to give understanding, and Appreciation, not primarily to Jim, but to yourself

….. Say this out loud or silently: I recognize who I am being and who I have been and see the good in it all.

A loyal banned deputy to TFP to this day.
