Refinishing my maple hardwood floor. My flush vent covers look horrible (black), from years of mopping moisture. I was thinking of just replacing the drop-in part, not the frame, rather than refinishing it. I’m having a difficult time finding drop ins with the exact measurements of mine. (Frame: 12 3/8 x 6 3/4
Insert: 11 3/16 x 5 1/2)

What are my options here?

Sand down and try to clean up the existing ones as best you can. If they’re too far gone you can have some new ones made. How handy are you with tools. Maybe you make some new ones yourself. Use the old one as a template for making a new one.
