Several years ago a carpet installer working for the same store I was at the time had OSHA walk in on him in an office installation at an ethanol plant. He (and his crew) was cited for: No hardhats, no steel toed shoes, frayed extensions cords.

TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS

He appealed and got off with SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS and his lawyer only cost him six thousand.

I don't miss dealing with OSHA and EPA. last time I saw either was about 95, I was contracting churches all over the area. Ever deal with a church commitee?

Always leery about black soles but these don't mark. Some trouble on wool carpet but I've been using booties for a few years. Walmart carries a decent steel toe called the brahma for a very reasonable $25 or so.
