Good morning everybody. Yep, it's been a long time. Still not getting back on my knees for flooring. For mining...yes. :) Anyway, I've been trying to help a friend with a pc that seems to have pretty much locked up. It's Win 10 and you can NOT use Settings, the start button, which means you can't access most everything on the machine. If you try to use the search box next to the start button, it doesn't work either. You can get Yahoo mail, but only after entering your name and password every time. All tool bars are gone also. It's frustrating to say the least. If anyone knows a fix for this, PLEASE!!!!! let me know what it is.

Sure do miss Nick.

Thanks sooo much,
Darol

Hows it going Darol you havent struck it rich yet :)
I miss Nick as well with his emails and Skype calls
Hey there Jon. Mining is only from around May through Nov due to snow. Besides mining we get time to do fun stuff like build our own lookout tower and last summer our own saloon. :) Also, a shot from my cabin. Nearest neighbor is about 10 miles away. A town called Sawyers Bar. Population about 50 on a busy day.

I'm not sure exactly what the problem is but it sounds like someone has possibly set the user information incorrectly so that you aren't logged in as the admin for the computer. I will occasionally get someone here in the office who somehow or another accidentally locks themselves out of the computer by changing their login information. This program has worked for me to get back in and take the computer back over and bypass the information that's keeping me from getting back into the computer. It's not crazy expensive and it does seem to work pretty well.

You should probably try running some malware removal software first.

Malwarebytes and Kaspersky are the two that I'd recommend.

Good luck with it.

Thanks for the responce. I tried running Malwarebites and like everything else, it won't let me. I will try the PC Unblocker though and report back. Thanks again.
