Here in Michigan we call that a dusting.
There was a news article last week that said we are behind on the amount of snow so far for the year like 3 1/2 inches. Got 2 the other night so that makes 41/2 for the year so far.

I'm sure they were too. I've seen several tree farms and they look just like that. All pretty much the same diameter, height and looking equally spaced as in your picture.
