CJ our lock down is nothing to do with letting people in or out at the present time
Its all about stopping peoples movements so the virus isnt spread. Most cases now are between family members in the same house
Okay like every other country the boarders are shut with only people coming in having to go into quarantine for two weeks. The last outbreak was what they think was someone from Sydney Australia bringing it in when they semi opened the boarder who was supposedly negative so didnt have to go into quaratine
There are several countries around the world who have no cases in the community so it seems possible for NZ to be the same
There has also people who are using the racist word here as a Samoan church which has a high rate of infections spread amongst the community because they all went to church singing and breathing over each other as they the church did not believe in the vaccination. This has now changed and they are getting the ***. There is also another large group Beachhaven ..........something or other going through the same issues

Just imagine if NZ had closed its borders. Nobody in or out of NZ. Then in theory you would have been able to move freely about in your own virus free country. Shoot, just imagine if everybody closed their borders and locked down for a few weeks. Might have ended the whole deal right quick but in this day and age of everybody looking for a reason to attack someone else for any kind of perceived wrongdoing that’s not gonna happen. Like mentioned earlier Trump wanted to close the border to certain hot spots. Too bad everybody was so focused on looking for things to attack the orange man for. You can’t do that, that’s racist. By the time people knew just how serious this was, it was too late. Looking back I bet they wish they would have let the orange man ban travel. Too late now.

In addition, last checked, 455 officers also succumbed to Covid this year. This is also considered an "on-duty" death.
If it’s considered an on duty death does that mean the family members are eligible for any of the fallen officers death benefits.
Strangely, there are no death benefits when an officer dies on duty.

Seriously?? No police union benefits or anything? That just gives me that much more appreciation for police officers that put their lives on the line every day and don’t even get jack squat but their buddies passing around the hat if they die.
