Lance Corporal Ned Seath rebuilt a machine gun from two partially destroyed ones...in the dark, under fire, while being wounded by a mortar...then mowed down so many enemy he couldn't see over the pile of bodies...

As the enemy massed an assault, Seath's M60 went down. He heard the gun of the team adjacent to his get hit and go down too. Seath grabbed his damaged gun and sprinted through fire to the other team's position. As others held off the enemy with rifles and grenade launchers, Seath disassembled both guns on a poncho. With no light other than muzzle flashes and a flickering flare somewhere overhead, Seath miraculously made one working gun out of two. A mortar exploded nearby as he worked, peppering him with shrapnel. He ignored the raging battle and his wounds to get one operational M60 back in the fight. Once finished, Seath lay prone behind the gun and opened fire at the massed, advancing enemy merely 40 feet away. He cut down so many, so quickly that they piled high in front of him, blocking his view of more advancing waves. Seath stood up, in full view of the enemy, shouldered the M60, and continued firing. He made quick work of the remaining soldiers and stopped the attack.

Seath survived the night and the remainder of his tour. He went unrecognized for his actions for 45 years. In 2011, Seath was awarded the Navy Cross.

Vandals in SE Kansas destroyed a cemetery that dated back to the civil war. What a bunch of idiots.
Cemeteries are special places. Even as an itty bitty kid and they seemed off limits. There is a historical cemetery right next to the high school. We lived on opposite corners from the high school. I never even felt comfortable hopping over the fence just to look at stuff.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) ā€” Protesters took to the streets for a fourth consecutive night in Minneapolis over the shooting death of a Black man by members of a U.S. Marshals task force.
Crowds marched Sunday evening in response to Thursday's fatal shooting of 32-year-old Winston Boogie Smith Jr. in Minneapolis' Uptown neighborhood. Officers stood watch during the demonstrations.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or arrests stemming from Sunday's protests. A police spokesman said he didn't have any details Monday morning.
Authorities said Friday that Smith was wanted on a weapons violation and fired a gun before two deputies shot him while he was inside a parked vehicle. Members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force were trying to arrest him on a warrant for allegedly being a felon in possession of a gun.
So he shot at the Marshals and they returned fire and it is time to riot?

""Birthing People", straight out of Orwell's 42nd Edition NewSpeak Dictionary.

Donā€™t you see that the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of thought? In the end we shall make thoughtcrime literally impossible, because there will be no words in which to express it."
-- George Orwell

At a small town near here, police were called for a disturbance at the library. Several men had another man surrounded. One of them handed the police copies of e mails a 61 year old man had sent to a 13 year old girl convincing her to meet him for sex. He confessed so he could be arrested. Probably the safest thing for him to do.

Very true.
People are too much in agreement with allowing Trump and a lot of Republicans from being banned.
I had this really novel idea. I thought that a lot of trumps tweets were kind of trivial even childish.
..... So I didn't read them. They banned him because they don't like him communicating with anybody. If he can't talk then nobody can disagree with him. ....or disagree with him.
It's dangerous territory when the media is able to single out one person on every platform that might be available. I'm pro free speech because I like to have the option to agree or disagree.

Trump was his Minister that oxy chloro whatever the hell it was. Part of the reason for banning him was from him is spreading false information.
.... It turns out that can be beneficial.
.... When Trump did his photo op everyone accused Trump of tear gas and people for a photo op.
A court has just determined that it was known in advance that that area was going to be cleared to put in an unscalable fence because of the protesters.
Did the media ban anybody for accusing Trump of a tear-gassing people for a photo op?
Nope, to Facebook and Twitter, that kind of misinformation is perfectly allowable.
They need to let free of speech reign unless somebody threatens bodily harm.
