Also, when the government distributes wealth to everyone, the citizens who put more effort into the production process feel less connected to the income they generated. Looking at socialism vs. capitalism systems around the world, examples of socialist economies include the People’s Republic of China, North Korea, and Vietnam.

There's a new Sharif in town, His name is the Dem Congress!
I got behind, on the blackface thing, I had previously thought that "blackface" meant using actual black paint. There was a black actor who portrayed a character in a movie who wore blackface (I believe it was a biographical role) & he got all sorts of flak for doing the part and wearing blackface. I can understand why people are offended by the actual black face makeup if it is intended to mock people. Until recently, I wasn't aware that someone coloring their skin brown was considered "black face". It worked in "Tropic Thunder". I really do think that people are too easily offended- they ignore the intent. They mistake emulation/imitation for mockery.
I remember Windows NT but not 3.1. Now they are coming up with Windows AI & I bet it will be a RAM hog.
I didn't watch the SOTU so I can't really comment on it. I only saw excerpts from the National Prayer Breakfast (which I think should not even exist) & Trump had a Freudian slip where he said "abolition of civil rights" was one of the achievements of religious people. He makes fun of people for being "low energy" & he was very low energy. I don't think he really wanted to be there & it showed.

I have had people try to get me to run for city council, but I am too old.
Not to old, just smart. I was asked also in a small town my ex and I lived in. I was all gung ho and even registered with a party. Then I got to thinking, "you know the friends i got I want to keep, and the ones I don't have I want to make. No matter what you do in politics you will piss someone off. Might be one of those friends.
