I was asked to finish a job that another installer started. He glued down 40 oz. fiber cushion , with multi-purpose adhesive 😳
Then found the carpet cuts were short. The customer did not want the installer back in their house.
They needed it done on a Saturday.
127 sq. yards ( 39 x 27). I had help to get the materials inside and laid out.
I did the rest alone ( including steps)
This is the first double stick I have ever done without tack strip and seam tape.
I like to use koolglide double stick tape.
Its very hard not to get glue on the carpet or your fingers, with the 1/8 U notch trowel.
Wouldnt have been a bad layout if it wasnt for the lally columns every 8.
I could have used a pattern stretcher on this one. I used my power stretcher with the cotton head and concrete stay nails.
