We used a "serpentine" straight edge on the seams. Even it would not hide all of them.We called the expensive carpet sculpted but the cheap stuff was called high low as well as the seams got ‘monkey matched’ if the customer didn’t want to pay for pattern match. Some of the high lows had an actual pattern repeat that was quite large, 6’. You would have to get creative with your scissors to try and blend the seam. Very stinger friendly too.
