I disagree buddy. Some folks want to control the world. You display weaknesses, and they will step on you on their way to control the world. AKA "Hitleresque"
If Iran gets a nuclear weapon that's launch ready like ours, they then become a world threat to peace. Their idiot rulers have threatened to blow Israel off the face of the earth, because they are Jews instead of Muslims. If they launched a nuke at Israel, WW3 would immediately begin.
If we allow them get a nuke capable missile, we are part of the problem. We can't set by and watch it happen. Iran would love to take control of Iraq and that would make them a larger and more capable threat to the world. (and non Muslims)
...should we let that happen? The more powerful that Iran's government gets, the more they become a threat to their neighbors and to the US.
Our getting involved and our intent has always been to help other countries not to take over and rule them................ not that we haven't made a lot mistakes in judgement when doing so, but our intent is good, not evil.
Can anyone imagine what the world would be like if the United Sates didn't exist? Our land would be communist and run by crazy and powerful dictators like Hitler or the Kim dynasty.

As I recall, it hit close to 4.75 12 or so years ago here.
It's 3.19 now, up 17 cents over a month ago.
Actually the price isn't all that bad historically. Here's an 11 year graph from a place 120 miles from where I live. Somewhat off the beaten tracks the prices where I live can be 10 to 40 cents higher than there.

Still rising where you guys are? Ours has remained steady for a couple weeks, even with the holiday weekend ahead of us. Maybe today it could pop up a few cents.

It was around 2.50 here the last time I filled up. I'm hoping it won't go much higher, but knowing the oil companies it will.

Crude dropped a dollar yesterday..... down another 3.21 today.... That alone should equal at least a dime drop in gasoline.
