Golf Terminology

How true this is for me in the game of golf ...

Four old men went into the pro shop after playing 18 holes.

The pro asked "How did you guys do?"
First old guy says 'I had 6 riders today."
Second old guy says "I had the most ever, 8 riders."
Third old guy says "Well believe it or not I had 10 riders today."
Fourth old guy says "Well I beat my record with 12 riders."

Another golfer who had overheard their conversation goes up to the pro and says "I have been playing golf for over 30 years and thought I knew all the terminology of the game, but tell

me what the hell is a rider."

The pro laughs and says "A rider is when you hit the ball far enough to have to get back into the cart and RIDE up to your next shot."

Nick was the guy with twelve rides. Only it was thirteen. Fourteen if you dont' count needing a ride uphill to a short one!
