Carpet has stripes. There are two bedrooms and a hallway connecting them. I am replacing one room and the hallway because the customer complained about stinger holes in the carpet, the bedroom pattern being 2 1/2 inches out of square, and having 3 seams in a 15 foot hallway.
My plan for replacing it, is avoiding a butt seam in this bedroom doorway and keeping the carpet one piece till it hits the far side of the hall, then unfolding it into the hallway. The hall will need an additional 4 feet seamed on the far end.
The trick will be aligning the stripes in the new hall carpet to the stripes in the second bedroom.
This is woven carpet, and it will only stretch about 1/16", so dropping it out from the bedroom doorway into the hallway and having it line up with the second bedroom 12 feet down the hall is going to be fun..... not
Film at 11:00 as they say....... but I didn't promise the actual date.

You need glasses. 
Yesterday, I removed the bedroom carpet and cut out pad so I could install a second row of tackstrip. I also shimmed the strip up a little higher with scrap sheet vinyl...... because the shop sold 1/2 inch pad with this woven looped carpet.
. I don't want a hint of picture framing. Got the pieces cut and acclimating in the room, so today the challenge begins.

Gained a bit today...... it gonna work. I
lined up the carpet pattern to my lineup marks..... remember this carpet will fold out into the hallway, and magically have the pattern line up in the master bedroom doorway at the end of the hall.
Photo shows where I marked the inside and outside walls of the closet and hallway with a pencil, then made some cuts and crossed my fingers

Here's the carpet ready to fold into the hallway. It hit my lineup mark on the hall wall, so I made an initial stretch, cut down the angled corners and unfolded the carpet down the hall to see how close the stripes came to lining up with the other bedroom. 3/16" shy....... So I'll have to burn down the house.

Before and after of the master bedroom seem I was worried about. ...and without further adu, introducing the SeamSuckr 2000. lot Cheaper than a Seamerdown.
I used a Koolglide seam iron. Works so nice on these looped piles.

But then I found a workaround..... around the corner.
I tossed in a 2x4 this morning for some reason.
Last image shows blue tape used to align and position carpet before doing the bedroom seam. The bedroom to hall seam had already been cut and sealed but I needed to position it when I stretched it.

You got the same stretcher I have. I hate mine, the screw/bolt that holds the head on stripped right off the get go.
