Is it best to just keep the battery topped off most of the time and only let it run low when you have no option?

If you keep any battery charged before it drains . It will start telling you it is low before it drains all the way ..

No, I mean should you let a battery get low now and then instead of keeping it fully charged all the time. I know these don't have memories like NiCads, just wondering if they still need cycling now and then.

I thought batteries nowdays one could just top up the charge instead of having to wait for the battery to go flat. They don't have a memory like the old days do they? Samsung told me my phone battery should only last about two years
I dropped my old phone lucky if it was two years old, into a bit of glue and it stuffed the microphone It was the only place the glue got, just on the microphone. The speaker still worked but I didn't like the idea of people hearing words they shouldn't hear
