All you’re doing is clicking the groove onto the tongue instead of tongue into groove. I’m assuming drop n lock so you would still install the same direction when doing your rows so that the butt joint drops onto the previous plank that you just installed.
Some of the tongues are fragile so while tapping planks you will have to be careful that you don’t damage any tongues. If you’re going with an SPC or rigid core you’ll have to be careful anyway cus the corners chip easily as you’re handling the planks and doing things like scoring and snapping them.
