Scale does not fit gun control agenda.

"District of Columbia v. Heller, 554 U.S. 570 (2008), was a landmarkcase in which the Supreme Court of the United States held in a 5-4 decision that the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution applies to federal enclaves and protects an individual's right to possess a firearm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home."

I have a permit. Even weirder, because of a 2014 law, no city can actually prohibit open carry. But if the law is still on the books, it limits conceal carry.

Also, you can get a CCW at 19 (18 if military or military spouse) but can't own a gun until 21. So you have to carry a note from your parents with the CCW.

National Firearms Reciprocity Bill JUST Introduced -- Urge Your Congressman to Cosponsor

On January 3, Congressman Richard Hudson introduced legislation, H.R. 38, to grant national reciprocity for Americans who can carry concealed firearms in their home states.

After years of discussion and negotiation, Hudson's new bill, H.R. 38, unifies the major components of the Second Amendment community and has the strong support of Gun Owners of America.

The Hudson bill would ensure that victims of crime like Pennsylvania concealed carry holder Shaneen Allen do not face decades of imprisonment merely because they took an erroneous turn into another state. It would cut through the labyrinth in which 50 different sets of rules create an incomprehensible jumble which even lawyers cannot understand. We are constantly hearing from law-abiding Americans who want to drive from Florida to northern New England -- and are confronted by up to 15 different sets of state laws. You can cross a state line in an instant -- frequently without warning. And not being able to distinguish between the laws of New Hampshire, New Jersey, and New York may mean the difference between lawful conduct and a twenty-year prison sentence.

Which brings us to the final point: The Hudson reciprocity bill would make America safe again -- by allowing Americans to exercise their God-given right to protect themselves, their families, and their communities."

There are countless examples of people who have used their firearms in self-defense when they were away from home. Make no mistake about it, this bill will save many lives.

The 12 Golden rules for Safe Gun Handling

1. Always treat the gun as loaded.
2. Always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction.
3. Always keep your finger straight and off the trigger until you are ready to shoot.
4. Always keep the gun unloaded until you are ready to use it.
5. Never point the gun at anything you don't intend to destroy.
6. Be sure of your target and what is beyond it.
7. Learn the mechanical and handling characteristics of the gun you are using
8. Always use proper Ammunition.
9. Be sure the barrel is clear of obstructions before loading and shooting.
10. If your gun fails to fire when the trigger is pulled, hold your shooting position for several
seconds; then with the muzzle pointed in a safe direction, carefully unload the gun.
11. Don't rely on the gun's safety to keep it from firing.
12. Be aware of your surroundings when handling guns so you don't trip or lose your balance
and accidentally point and/or fire the gun at anyone or anything.

If you find a slightly corroded 22 shell that will not chamber easily in your bolt action single shot........... do not force the bullet into the chamber using the bolt in an effort to 'shave off' said corrosion. With your finger off of the trigger it will still leave a bullet hole in your bedroom floor and Mom will surely find out about it. :D

#14.

When you and a cop buddy are laying a bunch of guns on the table to compare them, don't let your ex-wife walk into the room and say, "what a cute little gun", and have her grab one and point it at the TV while pulling the trigger, assuming these little guns are unloaded. Damn beotch killed my brand new color TV!

I'm sure there's a #15 on the way.
........oh,
#15
...and never try to remove the lead from a .22 shell using pliers and a vice. :D
