I am going to have the pergo installed in my home. I do not have all the money yet to do it. I want to buy the flooring first and then find someone to install in a couple months. Are there any downsides to doing it this way? My husband thinks we should wait and do it all at one time. I am afraid what I like will be gone then.

thanks for any advice.

As long as the person installing it knows where it will end when the entire job is complete, I don't see a problem. You will need to be sure the edge is protected at the point where the material in phase one ends.

I do jobs in stages, no problem. Best to buy all the product at once or you will most likely get different lots which could result in color not matching, sheen variation etc.
If you wait to long and there is a manufacturing issue make certain you can return it.
