The polar "vortex"

How is it affecting you guys. I'm 5 miles from the Pacific Ocean, and it's 44 degrees at the moment. 4 hours east of me it's 12 degrees at just 4200 feet elevation. That kind of cold isn't heading to where I live, but it's way below normal for the place where I just mentioned, the Santiam Pass, near Bend, Oregon.

The scene is updated every few minutes, so it's bound to have a different temperature than when I posted this. 12.2F right now at 10:28 pm.

Just for information, according to a local meteorologist, "polar vortex" is a term made up by the media. It's just another artic cold front.
