Hello,

I have very thick bamboo floors in my home/hallway. I just installed 10mm vinyl planks and am hitting an issue. I need a molding/transition in between the bamboo and vinyl in the doorway where they meet. The bamboo reducer is to thick and won't work. The vinyl t-molding is not thick enough on the vinyl side so it slants down. What do I use here? I thought of adding some type of build up/shim to the vinyl side but then there is a gap and it looks terrible.

A photo would certainly help if that's possible. Sometimes a reducer strip can be made of the same material.
You would need at least a table saw and possibly a belt sander.
Solid bamboo and full thickness wood floors always have a very thick overlap on the reducer moldings.
Some of those companies also make tapered reducers that are flush mount. If one of those is available you need to have a perfectly straight edge to fit it to.
