Customer first chose a Pergo plank. Composite wood like core and a .006" thickness of the color and wear layer combined.... That's like a cheap recipie card thickness.
I said I didn't like it. Told her I would do some looking locally instead of Lowe's, which is over 100 miles away.
I couldn't do any looking Thursday, Friday, Saturday or today because I had some actual paying work.
So he said she made a different and final decision on a far superior product. She's done looking and this is her choice.
The photos she sent me looked like a much better product.
.........then I saw the fine print. LL
Then I looked at the product online from the LL website.
Brazilian Cherry Select.
.....in it's description, it said lengths, 12" to 86.6"

How many 12" pieces are there going to be in a 30 sq foot box of flooring?

....oh yes, it has a 100 year residential warranty and a 5 year commercial warranty. Wow, quite a spread. 😁

I've never seen anything from them. She sent me a photo and it looked a lot better made than the Pergo laminate with the wood pulp core and ultra thin top coat.
This looks like it has a core made up of wood, finger jointed like Kahrs and others.... So this is a glued together product.
Only the did I see the plank lengths in the description.
12" to 86". That scares me. I've installed those totally random length floors a couple times. It's very time consuming laying out the planks so the end joints have the proper stagger.
....and what if 1/2 the planks or more are less than 4 feet?

Getting into? Sounds like you're already asshole deep to a tall Indian.

Half the planks shorter than four feet? Bet on it. Majority likely shorter than 30".

Talked to an ll guy on the phone. He said because the material is tagged 'select' the boards are longer than one not labled select. This looks 10 times better than the Pergo she had picked out first. It actually has a wear layer. Made in Brazil. Looks really nice.
