It’s annual Physical time, but when you turn 65 they call it a ‘ Wellness Visit’ Probably because you’re no longer physically fit and They’re just testing how well you are so they can predict your death for SS Budgeting purposes. 😜😂

Anywho i’m pulling into LabCorp for blood test. I see a new mother with a stroller getting out of her car. The closest spot to the front door was next to her but I did not want to blow the exhaust towards the baby so I pulled past her and five or six spots away. ( Understanding 👍)

She came into the Lab with me, but I was called to give blood before her infant. While in the chair, one lab tech yelled to my gal, just ready to stick me, “ Hey, are you OK drawing blood from an infant ? 😳

So I assumed the mother would be fearful for her child. Now here’s the interesting part, right before she drew my blood she actually switched needles and I believe purposely chose one of my hidden veins, using an infant needle, because no lab tech has ever drawn blood from that area on my arm before . I think she did it on purpose to practice before drawing blood from the infant. 🤔 …. Very smart and understanding.

While leaving, I touched the mother’s shoulder, leaned in ( smelled her hair 😜) and said you’ll be fine, she was great 👍
( Understanding of other’s potential needs and wants, can get us back on track)

✌️
What have you done Today !

I applaud you, well, all except you smelling the hair.

Is this something they teach you in the Democratic Club?

I've been helping my neighbors cutting down and moving downed trees from our high winds..
You're in the safe zone, the fires are past or not close to you?

You're way ahead of me. I borrowed a stretcher from the shop so that I could put two stretchers side by side to assist making a closet doorway seam.
The fulcrum pin on their stretcher handle had a circlip.... or C-clip missing so the pin didn't stay in place.
I stopped at O'Reilly's on the way home and got a new one (hardware stores were closed) so the installers that borrow it next will have a better day. 😇
I'm just too thoughtful sometimes. 😁

So far, we are good. If a fire is started N/E of my house, we are toast. Power is sporadic, as is our internet service. The high winds have caused havoc. Downed trees, lost my car cover, bent my garage door in half. So far, I've received 3 quotes for a new garage door. $3300 is the best price so far. Damn, since Biden came into office, door prices have increased five fold.

A friend of mine paid 2600 or a new 16 footer with installation. That was over a year ago. He and a friend removed the old door to save a few sheckles.

Driving through Quakertown on a rainy day, the line of oncoming traffic was long and preventing a young lady to cross. However on my side 50’ ahead, the traffic was stopped at a traffic light. So I stopped and waved her across once the other side of traffic ended.

I gave her and me understanding 😜 that the experience would be worth it 😜 😂

Yesterday leaving the job site I noticed a $20 bill in the parking lot. It was close by to where a young father parks and he has two or three kids. Today while vacuuming the common staircase, the father came home with the kids. I asked him if he was missing a 20 and he said he thinks so, so I gave it to him. 😎 he was very appreciative….. usually it’s finders keepers, losers weepers 😜…. What have you done lately to show understanding towards others ?

Not today, but about 10 years ago we had a young couple across the street that were caring for her disabled parents. They had no transportation. So I gave them a car. Nothing wrong with it, I just knew they needed one for Dr appts. etc. And we had an extra. It ran good and was nice inside and had no body damage. A Chevy Lumina.

I did the same as you walking into the grocery store one evening. Right at the automatic doors was a 20 wrapped with the receipt. People use their membership cards, so I took it to an employee figuring they could identify the owner.

Walking into the grocery store tonight, there was a cart in the parking lot. I took it back into the store.
.......that probably doesn't count, does it? 🤣

Knowing that it would make you feel good, I left the cart there for you to return.😁

Shopping carts are funny. If I’m close to the front of the store or a cart corral, I’ll return the cart. If I’m way out in left field, the cart gets left and I don’t feel bad about it since people get paid to go out and round up the shopping carts. Then if I think really deep about it, me leaving a shopping cart somewhere balances out the universe after using the self checkout. The stores will tell you that self checkout is ‘for your convenience’. Well, if it’s all about my convenience, because I am the customer, I’m going to conveniently leave my shopping cart in the parking lot and not feel bad about it.

Littering, on the other hand, is just uncalled for.

We are most certainly ‘ good deed doers’
when it comes to tangible actions, however what I’m asking about is giving understanding to intangible ideas that are separate from ours, and it could be as easy as ‘ just listening’ just a little bit more, before countering them with your ideas.

However please feel free to continue sharing the tangible understanding, as we grow into the intangible ones.

Littering...... like the crumpled up Wendy's bag that you left in the shopping cart that I took into the store? 🧐
When the wind blows, the shopping carts roll. 😉
They have shopping cart "corrals" at the ends of the parking lots here . People are so conditioned, they will walk 50 feet to put the cart in the corral, when it's 25 feet to put it back in the store 😁

While on my walk yesterday, I waved and said hello to a former councilwoman, who was ousted from our council after reporting my friends (who is the Fire Captain) to the FBI when they went to Washington DC for a vacation at the same time as the J-6 turmoil. She also drove through our town and reported any business who did not mandate wearing masks during the Covid times, and called the police when she saw joggers running without their masks on during Covid. Yes, our own town Karen!

I can't imagine trying to jog while wearing a mask.
