Zannej,
I didn't look at the couch yet. I have oval sliders that I'm going to put under the feet and leave them there. But I think I'm going to put the dollys under the couch to move it around because it will have to be moved several times when putting down the floor. I bought one of those furniture moving kits with the little lever and pads. It has sliding pads on one side and wheels on the other. But I don't think I'm going to use those little things on the couch. I'll use them on the TV stand. My plan, for painting at least, is to push the TV stand, minus the TV, against the couch and cover with a tarp. Then I'm going to remove all the carpet I can reach so I can remove the baseboard. That way I don't have to cut in at the bottom.
Then I sand the ceiling and walls. Then mask. Then paint.
Also thinking of changing the color to tan/beige. I like the Tudor look of tan walls and dark brown stained trim. Also going to remove the 3/4 round edging on the drywall and replace it with new 3/4 round that's been stained.
And I'm still not sure of the flooring. Coretec is so expensive compared to Pergo. I'm not sure it's worth it.
