Very nice work, Incognito and CJ!

I'm still being a mucus factory. Ordered a Covid home test for curbside pickup. Went and got it and then went to the empty post office after closing (doors are left unlocked) to get mail. Got home, cooked dinner, & took the test.
I don't know if I did something wrong or if the test strip was in upsidedown, but this was the result.

The upside is that those nasal swab thingies are fantastic and I want more of them to clear my nose out so I can breathe better.

And you were probably tempted to grab his knife and show off.

We could learn a lot from the Japanese culture.

How did your body handle the jet lag ?
Slept real hard the day after we arrived home. Not getting back to the regular hours yet. My son ran us ragged so I'm always able to sleep well so long as I'm walking 8-10 miles a day.

Can't say I have much urge to install. I'd surely need to drop no less than 25 pounds to even make it through 8 hours laying vinly or carpet.

You deserved every pound even though you may not want it.

Hey ! Did your shop throw you a retirement party 🎉 …. Being self employed, I will probably have to throw my own party 😝
Last shop party I went to was in the early 1990s. I would have felt pressure to attend if they offered. They'd have two parties a year, Christmas and one at the end of the Summer rush. My joke was always that I'd only come to the party if they paid time and a half or double time. I wasn't really kidding. The demographic of my co-workers made it a struggle to find things in common outside of flooring for casual conversation and for the most part I didn't agree with too many of them on their................principles and methods, including the office, sales and management. I liked everyone personally but did not feel any need to spend my free time schmoozing.

Rusty, I hope you get feeling better.

Going to the doctor in the morning with my mother and brother. We'll see how it goes and if the people there do the Covid testing properly or not.

I guess I am a little mean. Had someone try to kick in my garage walk-thru door a couple times while we were home. Guess my stepson spooked them , he is about 6' 8: and 280. I would have shot them anyway. But I put some long screws through the bottom of the door that stick out 3 inches. A surprise for someone kicking it.

Asparagus is a good veggie.

Sorry you're feeling sick, Rusty.

Had to sleep sitting up last night so I wouldn't cough non-stop. My bladder doesn't like it when I cough. Woke up when I felt something touching my lip very lightly. Looked and it was my cat Itsy. She was barely touching my lip with her paw as if she was checking my breathing. She leaned over and licked my forehead when I opened my eyes. I'd forgotten to set an alarm so its good she woke me up when she did. I had to shower and unload stuff from the truck.

Went to the doctor and confirmed the at-home test was correct. Bro, Mom, & I all have it. Told the doctor it started with my brother and he likely got it at work because he works at a casino with a lot of people coming through. His boss cleared his schedule so he can quarantine for a week. Prescribed Paxlovid (which is free for now). I called the pharmacy and the really sweet pharmacist answered. I explained the situation and asked if they did curbside pickup for RX since I didn't want to go in with Covid. He sent someone out with the RX for me. I dropped my mother and brother at home before coming back to give them time to fill the RX.

IV but the last time it was speed up as the first bag failed. Went to the family doc this morning and she said to eat beets, spinach and green veggies. I can handle beets an spinach but not kale and other greens. Gr beans either.
It takes forever to raise it with vegetables. And sometimes your body just does not produce enough no matter what you eat.

Best of luck for a full recovery by all Z

My doctor assessed my symptoms and recommended not to take the Paxlovid, ( Risk / Reward 🤷🏻‍♂️…. Healthcare is like a hypothesis ( an educated guess) and I guess we could get caught up in its uncertainty and feel like we are being lied too 😞

What is bad is when you research a condition you have and find out that you know things about it that the Dr doesn't know.
One Dr told me that to be short on blood I must have blood loss, even though I have had all the blood loss tests come back negative. Did some research, found out that there are several conditions where your body does not make enough blood, and a couple are common. People who have kidney disease, like me, many times don't produce a hormone in the kidneys needed to make red blood cells. Asked a renal specialist and she said that is probably what is wrong. She sees it all the time and more common in people who have had the vax.

People react in such different ways to different things. For instance: Valium is supposed to calm people and I guess it works for a lot of people but it has the opposite effect on me. It makes me jittery & agitated. I get grumpy and feel anything but relaxed. That can make it very hard for doctors to treat people.

Thus far the Paxlovid seems to be helping. Not feeling as cruddy as I was but I'm feeling tired. Slept all night and most of the day. Fed kitties, cooked for Mom, etc but slept in between.

Oldest cat just came and stomped all over my keyboard and is now on my lap. I just pulled a tick off the base of his ear. Another cat had a couple of ticks too. The ones that stay mostly inside don't get them but a few go out. Ticks suck!

Tackstrip works to stop kids from taking shortcuts over your fence. A neighbor asked us to get a couple strips from grandpa when we were kids...... it worked 😁
Out neighborhood was across from our high school.
