It's a drop in the bucket with all his wealth, but it's still a good thing. We've got billionaires who cheat their way out of paying taxes, refuse to pay their employees decent wages, & hoard all of their $$$.

On the gallstones/gall bladder thing, my mother had hers taken out because it kept getting gall stones. She has problems with greasy food, tomatoes, and other acidic stuff. She gets acid reflux.

I've been hit with fatigue lately. New pump got installed but when we went to turn the water on there was a massive leak from a broken fitting in the laundry room just before the shutoff. I'm going to try to fix it today. My body (mostly my back) was not cooperating yesterday. I got what I should need to fix it hopefully.

When we first moved back to my hometown in 1992, we bought a house. Paid it off in 7 years. The neighborhood was all owner occupied then. Forward to 26 years later, most are rentals and there are a couple drug houses within a block. We sold out and got almost nothing. My MIL passed and left my wife a little money so we moved to the other side of town. A couple weeks ago, the old house was demolished. Sad to see it go. I had roofed it, rewired it, plumbed it all and built a garage. It is the 3rd house on that block that is now gone. I spent a 1/3 of my life in that house.

Nice view, Go Eagles and Chiefs, if I dare.

My phone doesn't take good pictures. I have the batteries for my Nikon 5100 charging.

Ok Daris who we rooting for now? Birds or Chiefs 🤔
I reallythink the chiefs will eat the birds, but I actually think it's time for someone to knock off the chiefs. But I do like watching Mahomes even now when he decided to run.

Mahomes will be the GOAT whether they win or lose. I was hoping they would play either the lions or Redskins, yes I said Redskins.

Never heard of Mahomes. I think Redskins are a football team. So some kind of football team? My mother was the only one in our household who watched football but none of us were ever really into it. Commentators pissed me off and I could never keep up with what was going on and could never bring myself to care. LOL. I do like Ninja Warrior though.

I got the wrong fittings and wrong size cinch rings. I didn't realize the shutoff I had went from 1/2" to 3/4". Thought it was all 3/4". But I still had one single 1/2" doohickey in the linen closet. I'll have to get more since it was going to be used for something else. The cinch tool I got worked great. I was able to turn the water back on, turned water heater on, and will be taking a nice shower shortly. Just woke up from a nap.

My daughter stopped and talked to Mahomes at a convenience store. He was pumping his own gas. She said it was just like talking to anyone. He was super nice.

Ah, so Mahomes is a person. LOL.

My cats were hollering at me this morning saying they were starving to death. It had been a full 8 hours since they were last fed. So I fed them and now have some of them on my lap.

Oh, some fun today.
I have the long seam done in the room and it's in place, all squared to the room with laser lineup marks on 4 walls.
There's a short "hallway" and closet to put on and both seam edges are sealed and ready to go. Being this is a pattern, there were 3 places of importance. The entrance to this room from the hardwood hallway on the left. The tile edge tucking in at the bathroom doorway and lastly the closet door jamb area where I was considering making a cross seam.
I didn't want a pattern line barely inside the room next to the wood entrance area and obviously not close to the bathroom tile either.
My dilemma will be dimension related with this 24" pattern.
From the left side of the "hall" to the tile, it's 47 3/4". To not have a pattern line showing right along the hall wall, or the tile edge, I only have about 1/4" of error in positioning this piece.
The red line is my laser line.
I'm going to put the tiny hallway piece in place and line it up with the laser line, then be sure that I barely remove a pattern line along the tile. Once positioned, I'll add some stay tacks.
From there, I'll have to stretch the pattern line in the room a smidge so the room lines up with the tiny hallway.
Once I can make relief cuts near the seam and put it together, I can begin stretching.
I'll have to stretch the center of the room first to make the pattern hit my laser lines from the hall to the far wall.
then stretch to the left, then to the right to keep the pattern straight.
This is going to be a very slow, interesting day.

You might be able to see in the photos about where my pattern lines will be.
I can only shift the hall piece a tiny bit right or left to not have a tiny portion of a line showing on either side.

I'll stretch the room tomorrow. It's 16 by 18. I'll only have one more room to do but the carpenter has one door casing to install and the baseboards. I hope he shows up over the weekend or Monday because this has to be completed by Thursday or Friday. The owner is having a shindig next weekend, inviting some friends to come up. Now I understand the deadline...... Next weekend is the Superbowl...... and probably ⛳ too.

An antique. How do you do the rounded corners, especially the wall to ceiling double curve at the top of the windows?
Got rid of a door and added the fancy windows?
What all happening to this one?
Major makeover fer sure.

This was an old Ricky n Lucy looking trailer from back in the day. Had everything in it, all stained and lacquered. I’m sure it was something to see when it was all brand new. It’s been sitting out on our lot for as long as I’ve worked here and it wasn’t in good shape at all. When things would slow down we would take a walk through it and talk about what we would do with it after we gutted it. Maybe a month ago we got word that someone wanted that trailer. Nice!

We’re doing a basic blank shell build out for this one. Few lights, few plug sockets and that’s it. I will be making some new wheel well covers after I’m done skinning it. The end user will be painting it themselves, or not, i don't know.

Gutting it was nasty but luckily it wasn't me that got tasked with that. I started in replacing a lot of rotten subfloor. Then it got wired and pink insulation went in after that. I attached furring strips to the aluminum ribs so I could then attach the panels to them. I did have to steam some of the furring strips so they would conform to the bends on the ceiling.

I’m using 1/4” for the walls and 1/8” for the ceiling. Walls first and I can use 18 ga brads for that. Ceiling second and I’m using 1/4” staples for that.

Doing the ceiling was interesting. 1/8” ply will conform to the ceiling bend without being steamed but I have to run it the length of the trailer cus that’s the direction the wood naturally wants to bend. So I start off cutting the ceiling panels that will run down the center of the trailer. I figure out where the spacing for where the light holes will go and drill them out ahead of time. Then, between a deadman and a bunch of clamps, I get my ceiling panels temporarily in place where I think I want them. I used a string line and a couple plumb bobs to get the center row of panels positioned where I want them and fasten them in place. I use story sticks for consistent fastener placement throughout the entire trailer. Makes things look like you gave half a **** instead of just randomly firing bullet holes everywhere.

Ok, so this is where the ceiling part gets cool. So I’ve got a panel fastened to the ceiling and a panel fastened to the wall. I make a test piece to determine how wide I need to rip the filler piece that will follow the contour between the wall and the ceiling. I musta messed up because the first side was 23 and 1 the whole length of the trailer👌. The measurement itself doesn’t matter, it was the consistency down the entire length of the trailer that gave me a smile. So I rip one of the 1/8” skins and take it in the trailer to position it in place. I bump one edge against the ceiling panel and start pressing the piece to follow the contour of the ceiling. If I do it right and press it tight enough into the curve it will literally snap in place and be held there by compression between the ceiling and the wall pieces. There was a little trial and error as well as I did put my hand through one piece by pressing too hard in the wrong place. Oops. Take a 1/16” off and do it again.

So that’s all the easy stuff so far. The corner pieces will need to be steamed and pressed into place. It’ll be a pain. That’s a Monday problem for sure.
