Never driven one of the Transit vans but I’ve heard other people say they hate them as well. I decided to fix my ‘05 instead of buy something new because of the price, and I thought I wouldn’t like it either. What exactly is it that don't you like about it?
Well, I’m 6’6” so it’s uncomfortable in the cab. I feel like a T Rex driving it. It has tiny pizza cutter tire/rim size. Can’t get A/T tires for it. It has ridiculous blind spots all around it. It’s very top heavy. Last but certainly not least, It’s a freaking magnet for destruction!!

Literally the only positive of it is the cargo space.

I want a Chevy express again.

Back when I was buying vans 80s and 90s, always bought a Ford. They were 12' 3" from the doghouse to the back door. Chevy vans were 11' 10" and Dodge was 11' 6" .Made a world of difference in bad weather when hauling carpet or vinyl.
And talking about room. My MIL left us a Nissan Versa and we have a Chrysler 300m. The Versa was the cheap economy car but has more room in it than the "luxury" Chrysler.

Definately not a job for beginners. A bit busy for my taste, but interesting.

Looks a lot nicer than using corner pieces to bring details to the corners. In a smaller house I think you could pull it off but I would get tired of all the cutting after multiple corners in a big house. Maybe you batch produce the returns and it wouldn’t be so bad. That’s still a lot of cutting though.

The newer Honda Odysseys look pretty cool. Spacious, blindspot cameras, seats that fold down, etc. Not sure how they would do for work trucks.

I fed kitties today, cooked for Mom, helped her give Fippy his flea pills (she puts them in cheese but he wasn't taking them-- I had to threaten to eat it myself to get him to eat it and I fed it to him). Gave Princess her heartworm meds. She already has heartworms so she can't get the shot like Fippy gets but vet said to give her heartguard chews to prevent younger heartworms from growing and making it worse for her. They are refusing to renew the rx for it unless I get her rabies shot. I'm wary of that bc it gave at least one of my cats rabies. Fippy is too old to continue getting the rabies shot.

Went to Depot the other day and found a hotdog waiting for me outside.😁 It’s been years since I’ve seen a hotdog vendor at Depot, and not all of them have them.

I've never liked hot dogs all that much and grew to dislike them over time. The smell makes me nauseous for some reason.
The birds are singing this morning. Cats are surrounding me. A couple of them started slapping at each other and that pissed off Fippy so he lunged at them and broke them up. He then groused about it for a few minutes afterward-- just sitting there growling like an old man yelling at clouds.
Princess is racked out. Or she was. As I was typing Fippy got up and walked closer to her and it startled her awake so she's climbing on me wanting cuddles.

Old girlfriends daughter would get instant migraines from hot dogs, while I would get teased by Chops the neighbor every time I grilled…. “ hotdogs again ? Mike “ Yep ! 😋 Actually haven’t had any in years, since I moved and gave away the Martha Stuart grill 😜

Hope you got the super unleaded. More power👍
How long does it take? Not being medically schooled, is this for more blood or to refresh what you have. I have blood, but that's the full extent of my knowledge. 🫣
I have an intestinal bleed and they can't operate. Two units took about 6 hours. I am losing the battle.

I cut some angled stair nose for the theater carpet. I only cut one run because I didn't measure the second run for width. I thought because of rather dim lighting, the nickel wouldn't show up well enough. It turned out perfect. Looks nicer than the photo shows.
The stair nose holds the carpet really well without glue, so I'm thinking of just adding a few tacks or staples at the riser area.
It's a Millikan printed carpet with a pretty substantial backing..... Fairly stiff, sit if felt stupid to fully glue these small pieces. The landings between seats are just 24"
I sent the binding out to be re-done by another binder. He did a beautiful job, nice and tight.

Even tho the sides of the stair nose won't get stepped on, I thought it would look better if I made the ends tip downwards onto the binding. The carpet is just a tad taller than the bound edges It was quick and easy. I put each end in my vice and cut a 3/16" long slot parallel to the top edge to form a gap. That's the circled photo. Then I put a block of wood in the vice to act as sort of an anvil, then gave each end a little whack or two to bend it over. Nothing precision at all and easy to do consistently..... consistently enough. It's probably a half hours work or less to do all the pieces, set up production style.
It simply allows the metal to almost cover the binding.

You ever get those customers that find other stuff for you to do? ‘Hey, while I got you here, can you take a look at this?’. I had one of them today but I knew it ahead of time. I got to the job site bout 6:15, did my thing (hung 2walls of base) and got the heck outta there before the homeowner showed up. I’ll be back there Friday and next week dealing with that kinda stuff, but not today!

It’s almost 10 and I’m home and all changed and ready to go for a ride. I have to, the wife is outta town and I’ve committed myself to eating pizza until she gets back. I had MOD pizza last night and I still have 4 of their ding dong things left to eat. That’s gotta be at least an hour of riding per cake just to break even😳 I’m gonna have to think about this for a minute.

Are you still in the hospital? Is there anything they can do? I hope there's something. We don't want to lose you. Sending you virtual hugs.

Yesterday I eventually went to the store and cooked for Mom. She likes the rotisserie chicken mixed in with mashed potatoes and some mushroom gravy. The gravy was campbell's from a can. They don't have it anymore so I had to substitute golden mushroom soup as the gravy. Out of the rotisserie chicken now so will have to get her something else today.

When my brother wakes up I'll see about having him help me with the chicken soup. He dumps in the frozen veggies, swanson chicken broth, and does the seasoning and turns the pressure cooker on. I cut up the chicken-- which is the most difficult and time-consuming part. He takes full credit for the soup and balked when I said "we" made soup. LOL. If I knew how to operate the pressure cooker and knew the right balance of seasonings I could do it myself. I can't even read the buttons on the pressure cooker. LOL.

Will have to clean litterboxes today though.
