Still working through things
Will update when I find out where my future is heading
I know one thing I will not be going back to flooring at my age:)
Another layer has bought back some of my gear so I think I have a buyer for the lot so it can go
I GAVE away most of my tools to a young upstart, that way I can't try to do it again. I did keep just enough to do maybe a bedroom. But I think they are gone very shortly. When i get down on my knees it feels like I'm kneeling on broken glass.

I have an electric one of these not used for years
https://www.leister.com/en/product/GrooverOne of these about 18 months old
https://www.lookfloors.co.nz/product/2324/polivac-suction-polisher-pv25One of these just the 100lb roller without those fancy wheels
https://www.lookfloors.co.nz/product/8853/strongbond-linoleum-rollerPlus heaps of welding tips and other tools I thought I needed which maybe I used once

That GST is added onto just about everything thing in NZ. It is a 15% Goods and Services tax of which what I add onto any work I do then later, in my case every 6 months when I do my GST return I take off what GST I have charged then pay the difference to the tax department. GST is not charged on rent but one can not claim GST on any expenses on rental properties or bank fees. Some want to charge GST on cash jobs but most people dont want to pay the GST as is a rip off and could get reported to the Inland revenue When the trades spend the cash jobs on things they buy the Inland Revenue will collect the GST content. Before the days of GST the Government would get nothing. I would rather put all the work I do through as earnings as I do not need the hassles

I don't have any problem crawling on floors or getting up and down. Just have no strength or stamina and I have trouble getting up stairs.

Another two iron infusions, the 15th and 22nd. Took my wife to her dr. this morning. I was talking to his nurse. She knows of several other people with hemoglobin trouble after the vaccine.

You know what I like about going to Habitat ReStore?
Every once in a while you find something you need.

Do you know something that I like even better about Habitat ReStore?
There's six wraps roughly 4 ft in diameter. The cable is soft and supple like a wet noodle but it's probably 10 gauge if I had to gas, 12 at the very least. This is some heavy duty commercial cable. How could I afford not to?
😁😁😁 How much would just those two cable ends cost, they're pretty heavy duty.

I can only sleep sitting up because of pain in my feet. So I sleep 4-5 hours a night.

Doesn't apply to you Jon but my back has been bothering me since before Christmas. Its a disc issue that began 10 or 12 years ago. There's just been too much work for me this past year that were bigger than I'm used to and I guess. That wasn't such a good thing. Just before Christmas and until New years I didn't work at all with the exception of one restretch and measuring up a couple of jobs. I figured the time off would help my back out but it seems that working was actually better for it than sitting all day.
I know that's not your situation.
Looking back, over the years I'm realizing the ideal thing to do would be filthy rich by age 50 so you can do anything and everything while young healthy.
Being still healthy at age 70 and have 15 or 20 years of living it up and then get hit by a train while still healthy and able......
....that would be perfect. No degrading over the last 20 years but simply "lights out" and the ball is in someone else's court.
Seriously Jon, I'm hoping they get something figured out for you.

In case anyone missed it..... 😉
The only thing that's interesting is this cable has no markings stamped into it or colored onto it indicating the wire size for the voltage..... Zip, zero, nada.
The couplings are high end commercial quality. I've never bought a cord this nice.
Also, I've never seen cable like this that had no markings, but the quality is extremely high.
Anyone ever seen an electrical 3-wire cable with no markings?
The outside of the cable is 5/8 of an inch thick and it's extremely flexible indicating that the wires inside are very fine.

Randy, I stayed in pretty good shape until I retired. Since then, I have lost my strength and muscle tone. I can barely carry a case of bottled water. Being low on hemoglobin just makes it worse. Don't have much ambition anymore.

It comes with age. We lose muscle tone quite rapidly after I think it was 65 I read. At 78 my hands look like a road map with the veins showing through and the skin is getting thinner. If I just bump my arms and hands it is bruise time.

But I won't be 65 for almost 8 months. 😱
I think we start losing muscle because we stopped working.

I get them to. I can scratch a bug bite and have a huge bruise. Anemia is sometimes the cause. Get your hemoglobin checked.
I have a blood doc. My blood work always shows white cells low but he says I'll see you in 6 months, other than when I had them on my arms to wear a long sleeved shirt and they wouldn't show.
